Census
Bureau Press Release: The Summary File 1 tables provide the most
detailed counts available so far from the 2010 Census, including cross-tabulations
of age, sex, households, families, relationship to householder, housing
units, detailed race and Hispanic or Latino origin groups, and group quarters.
The statistics are available for a variety of geographic areas, with most

- The long form has been eliminated for Census 2010 and going forward. Therefore, the detailed data that was previously collected on the long form is being collected through the American Community Survey. This includes detailed information on social, economic, housing and other demographic subjects. Care must be taken in comparing ACS data to archival Census data and one should note the margin of errors when using the data.
- Per the US Census Bureau, "generally, you can compare American Community Survey (ACS) 3-year and 5-year estimates with Census 2000 data. There are differences in the universe, question wording, residence rules, reference periods, and the way in which the data are tabulated which can impact comparability."
