The HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME) was established by HUD to expand the amount of decent, safe, and affordable housing in Ocean County.

The HOME program, which is administered by the County Planning Department, has been established since 1992.The Ocean County municipalities of Brick, Toms River and Lakewood Townships administer their own CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Programs.

• HOME funds allocated to Ocean County since inception of the program in 1992: $16.9 million
• FY 2009 funding for HOME Program: $1,419,159
• 340 received down payment assistance for purchase of a home under the County's First Time Homebuyers Program.
• 184 housing units have been rehabilitated to bring to state and local code under the HOME Housing Rehabilitation Program
• 57 affordable rental units have been developed or rehabilitated to revitalize existing neighborhood and supply affordable rental housing to low income families.
• 568 families have been provided rent subsidies under the Tenant Based Rental Assistance Program (TBRA) .
