The Action Plan provides a listing of the specific project activities proposed to be undertaken by the Consortium with anticipated resources from the HOME and CDBG programs. In FY 2012, the County of Ocean anticipates the receipt of $916,746 in HOME funds and $1,035,198 in CDBG funds.

• A total of 28 applications were received requesting CDBG funding.
• The total amount of anticipated CDBG funding available for Ocean County is $1,035,198.00
• 14 municipal projects were awarded funding for a total of $405,000.00
• 14 Public Service and Regional Non-Profit projects were awarded funding for a total of $180,000.00

Lakewood Township
2012 CDBG allocation: $873,048.00 – Major program activities proposed are: Housing Rehabilitation, Public Services, Public Facilities, and Program Administration.

Jackson Township
2012 CDBG allocation: $194,082.00 – Program activities proposed are: Neighborhood Facilities. Ocean County will continue to administer the Township’s CDBG Program.

• A 30-day public comment period began March 30, 2012 through May 1, 2012.
• A Public Hearing was held on March 27, 2012; a second Public Hearing was held on April 12, 2012; and a final Public Hearing will be held on May 2, 2012 at the Board Meeting.
